An Idea Worth Sharing
As most of you are in the middle of personal narrative writing, I thought this idea from a third grade classroom was an idea worth sharing!
In this classroom, students are encouraged to jot down any ideas that come to them during the day that they could possibly write about. No need to pull out their "I felt" statements- make a quick note and be on with your day!

| This will make a GREAT story! Ha! |
How this was set up:
1. Teacher introduced the chart and modeled how to quickly write down a key word associated with the feeling or a 'problem' sentence
2. Teacher explained expectations and set parameters for using the Small Moments chart
3. Students are given the opportunity to jot down a small moment they have throughout the day (ongoing)
Do you have an idea worth sharing? Please let me know!
"The most valuable resource all teachers have is each other.
Without collaboration our growth is limited to our own perspectives."
